Weekly round-up (and yearly!) dec.29.2007
A little flashback… remember the BBC micro computer? well maybe only in the UK.. but it was an outstanding computer at the time – I remember using them and having great fun… an article from the BBC celebrates the success, and also describes new areas of computer science that one of the original BBC micro inventors is up to.
Netscape no more… yes the original browser that was really the first “real use” browser for the internet is no more… if you remember, Mozilla foundation picked up the remains of Netscape to make Firefox which has indeed become the phoenix of the browser world.
Adobe is spying on you! yes it’s true! the new CS3 versions of the design suite (including Dreamweaver and Photoshop etc) is coming under fire for sending two-way information from your computer to monitor how you use the software… mmm… more to come in the news soon I guess..
Also just shows that you don’t need a huge idea to get lots of publicity.. something very simple and catchy can get huge publicity…
and finally some tech predictions for 2008
